Drain Inspection Camera

Video cameras have become one of the most valuable tools in the plumbing business. Specially made waterproof cameras allow for a visual inspection of sewer lines and other pipes that are underground, in cement and under your home’s foundation.

A professionally trained and skilled technician inserts a flexible rod with a high-resolution video camera on its tip into pipes from 2 inch in diameter. The flexible rod allows the camera to travel through the pipe—even around corners—to see the pipe in its entirety. Real-time video image transmission allows the technician to determine the condition of the inside of the pipe and understand any existing or potential problems. The images can be saved for a permanent record.

Drain Unblocking Auger Machine

In the cable machine’s earliest form, simple flat metal tape was used to clear out drain obstructions and clogs. Flexible coil springs were later added to make it easy to navigate pipe bends and turns. These early machines were manually powered, often with a hand crank used to rotate the drain cable. As time went on, motors were added to make the task less labor intensive.

Although the basic approach to cable machines has not changed, the technology has been much improved and refined over the years. Machines are lighter and more powerful than their predecessors, cable and cutting blade attachments have become stronger and more rust resistant, and most importantly, cable machines are much safer to operate and cause fewer injuries than in the early days.

These machines use numerous open wound cables from 4 to 8 and sometimes up to 50 meters in length. Sectional cables are joined one at a time to a power auger and rotated in the pipe. The power auger unit is kept separate from the cables until the pipe is cleaned. Because the two components of sectional machines are separate, sectional machines are usually considered lighter to transport.

High Pressure Jetting

These units are used where extra pressure is required, such as pipe de-scaling, tube bundle cleaning, heat exchanger cleaning, process pipe work, etc. Any time conventional medium pressure units don’t have enough performance to get the job done, these high pressure units should be used. The horsepower required for a Water Blasting Unit will depend on pressure and flow rate desired, but it can range from 15 horsepower to over 200 horsepower.

Leak Detection Acoustic Device

“Water Leak Pinpointing” is the term applied to the process of pinpointing the exact leak location. For Acoustic Leak Detection, the exact leak location is usually the spot where the leak sounds are the loudest. Leaking pressurised water pipes produce noise. Using electroacoustic ground microphones, or listening sticks, the resulting water leak noise can be heard and the water leak location identified. This technique works well both indoors and outdoors.

Hot water in a pipes is clearly visible as pipes run behind wall mounted objects, also burst pipes are clearly visible where the water seeps into the walls.

Thermal camera imaging is designed especially for building applications. It detects hidden heat patterns that point out energy waste, structural defects, plumbing clogs, HVAC issues, and other problems.
